Everything is acquired for the Activity Center.

Scott, Al, Daniel, Issac, Randy, Dan, Dallas, and Bill will be possibly at the fair and help

.

  • Progress on Aksarben Challenge: Letters have been forwarded to each board member so that they can reply.  Those that have wished to sponsor Aksarben exhibitors are reminded to pay their $87.50 to Michael in care of NSGP.  Ivan will also make contact with the lamb exhibitor.
  • Starter Flock report – Scott reported that the Farm Credit grant has been submitted and it is in the stage of review.  Scott thanked Ivan and Dan for their help with the grant.  Scott wanted to emphasis that this grant is for both sheep and goats.
  • Fall Conference: Kelly asked whether the board was thinking of having tours on one day or both days, or what they were thinking as far as agenda is concerned.  Randy mentioned a speaker from University of Missouri that he heard talk about consumer preferences last week that would be a good addition to the agenda.  They are also thinking about a producer panel. Kelly, Randy, and Dan will put together a tentative agenda before next meeting so that the board can look it over.  Randy is going to check on the fairground to host our conference.  Bulls Eye Genetics wants to sponsor a cash bar up to $250.
  • No other old business.

New Business:

  1. Aksarben representative from the NSGP at Aksarben.  We are looking for someone from the board to attend Aksarben on Sept 25-26 to represent NSGP.  Dallas has volunteered to represent the NSGP.  If others can attend from the NSGP Board that would be great.
