The Nebraska Grazing Lands Coalition Grazing School is an excellent opportunity for sheep and goat producers who want to improve pasture productivity, reduce feed costs, and build a more resilient grazing operation. Through hands-on field instruction and real-world ranch examples, participants will learn practical grazing management strategies, forage planning, fencing and water system design, and ways to adapt to drought and changing conditions. While many examples are applicable to cattle, the principles of adaptive grazing are equally valuable for small ruminant operations, helping producers maximize forage utilization, improve pasture health, and increase long-term profitability. The school also provides valuable networking opportunities with experienced producers and grazing professionals, along with follow-up support to help participants put what they learn into practice on their own farms and ranches.
